Progresso FC edge San Estevan 1-0, win National Youth Club U17 Boys Football Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Progresso FC defeated San Estevan Soccer Team 1-0 with a last-gasp goal to clinch the National Youth Club U17 Boys Football Championship final at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan on Saturday, September 14.

Calvin Thurton scored the lone goal in the final in the 69^th minute, securing the championship for Progresso FC. The match was tightly contested, with both teams displaying strong defensive and offensive skills.

In the semifinals, Progresso FC edged out Roaring Creek United in a dramatic 6-5 penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw. This victory propelled them into the final against San Estevan.

San Estevan advanced to the final with ease, winning 5-0 on aggregate against Tribal FC. They won the first game 2-0 and the second 3-0 after Tribal FC forfeited due to transportation problems.
