By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a fire that occurred in Belize City.
Police responded to a report on Taylors Alley early this morning Wednesday, at about 1:55 a.m. Upon arrival, officers observed a 15-foot by 12-foot zinc structure engulfed in flames.
The owner of the home, 70-year-old retiree Benjamin Belisle, reported that around 1:30 a.m., a man known to him visited him and requested to purchase cigarettes. Belisle reportedly refused, and moments later, his house was seen in flames. No one was injured, and the house was not insured.
