Scattered showers expected across Belize as Tropical Storm Kirk moves west

By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued its morning forecast, predicting a day of sunny skies interspersed with cloudy spells. Residents and visitors can expect a few showers and isolated thunderstorms, primarily affecting the coast this morning, inland areas this afternoon, and the south and some coastal areas tonight.

Temperatures will range from a high of 92°F (33°C) inland to a low of 68°F (20°C) in the hills. Coastal areas can anticipate highs of 89°F (32°C) and lows of 80°F (27°C). Marine conditions will be characterized by easterly to southeasterly winds at 5-15 knots, a slight to light chop, and waves of 1-4 feet.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Kirk continues its westward path, located approximately 935 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. The storm is currently packing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. The Meteorological Service is also monitoring a disturbance over the southwestern Caribbean Sea, which has a low chance of development into a tropical depression over the next few days.

The outlook for Wednesday and Wednesday night suggests a continuation of similar weather conditions.
