By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Stars Academy were denied what looked like a goal in the sixth minute of injury time in their second game of the UNCAF FIFA FORWARD Men’s Under-17 Interclubs Cup on Tuesday in Panama City.
Stars Academy appeared to have tied the game in the 96th minute, but the referee allowed play to continue. Down 1-0, Stars Academy earned a free kick from outside the box. Breyden Olivas floated the ball towards the goal. The ball bounced off the right post and seemed to drop inside the goal, but without instant replay to confirm if the ball crossed the line, the referee allowed play to continue. The Belize players, particularly Olivas, protested, but to no avail. The match concluded a minute later with Belize creating another opportunity that saw the ball sail over the crossbar.

Real Esteli, who had led since the 29th minute when Juban Uriarte scored from outside the box, won the match 1-0.
Stars Academy played a much better match than their opener on Sunday, in which they fell 6-0 to Panama’s Plaza Amador, who earlier on Tuesday blasted Honduras’ Boca Junior 10-0.
In Group B, Costa Rica’s Liga Deportiva Alajuelense defeated Panama’s Academy Champions 2-0. Guatemala’s Comunicaciones played the final game of the day against Puerto Rico’s Academia Quintana.
Next, Stars Academy will play their final group match against Boca Junior on Thursday, October 3, at 12:00 pm (11:00 am Belize).
After the group round robin, ranking matches, including the final and third-place games, will be played on Saturday, October 5.
