By Aaron Humes: According to police, a home in Corozal was broken into while the owner was in Mexico.
The thieves made off with firearms, ammunition, and surveillance equipment, police said on Saturday.
The homeowner reported the crime upon his return from Mexico on October 5. He had left his residence on October 1, leaving the keys with a maintenance worker.
The stolen items include a .223 rifle, a nine-millimeter pistol, ammunition, and the digital video recorder for the home security system. The firearms are valued at $13,300. No arrests have been made.
