Lord’s Bank woman fights off, stabs intruder

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a home invasion in the Lord’s Bank, Belize District area at the home of a young woman.

The complainant was asleep at her residence around 11:20 in the morning on Saturday when she was awakened by noise from the lower flat.

The complainant recognized her attacker, who pounced as she came down to check. They struggled and she got hold of a knife and stabbed him twice to the upper back. She then ran outside calling for help, but the attacker fled the scene.

The complainant received minor scratches on her neck and chest area.

Police are looking for the suspect as their investigations continue.
