By Horace Palacio: Belizeans and visitors alike can look forward to a pleasant Wednesday with sunny spells interspersed with a few cloudy periods. However, the National Meteorological Service advises that some showers may develop, mainly along the coast and over the northern regions of the country. These showers are expected to be isolated in other areas. A light northeasterly airflow is contributing to these conditions. Temperatures will be warm, with coastal areas reaching highs of 84°F (29°C) and inland areas experiencing even warmer temperatures, peaking at 90°F (32°C). If you’re heading to the hills, expect slightly cooler conditions with a high of 78°F (26°C).
Sea conditions are anticipated to be choppy, with waves reaching heights of 3-5 feet. Those planning to be out on the water should exercise caution.
Fortunately, the tropical weather outlook is calm, with no tropical cyclone formation expected in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours.
As we look ahead to Thursday, the forecast calls for a few afternoon showers inland and along the coast, which may continue into Thursday night.
Today’s low tides will occur at 9:35 AM and 8:02 PM, while the high tide will peak at 3:59 PM. Tomorrow morning, you can expect a high tide at 2:37 AM. The sun will rise at 5:48 AM and set at 5:25 PM today. Finally, the moon will set at 12:04 PM and rise again at 11:20 PM.
