Almost $5,000 stolen in Belize City burglary: storekeeper’s room ransacked

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Tuesday, October 22, in Belize City.

A storekeeper reported that between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., his room was burglarized. Stolen items included jewelry, watches, a black leather pouch containing approximately twenty (20) .38 caliber live rounds of ammunition, and other valuables, totaling an estimated value of $4,765.

A police investigation is ongoing.
