By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Concacaf has confirmed the 32 matches that will be played in November in the Concacaf Nations League, including Belize’s two Concacaf Gold Cup Play-In games against French Guiana.
Belize will host French Guiana on Thursday, November 14 at 7:00 pm at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan. The return match will be at 8:00 pm (5:00 pm Belize) on Tuesday, November 19 at the Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname.
The winners of the home and away matches will advance to the Concacaf Preliminary Round (Prelims).
Belize qualified for the Play-In Round as the Second-Best League Group C Winners, behind Barbados, and thus will play French Guiana, the Best League A 6th Place Team. Belize topped League C’s Group B with 12 points, undefeated in four games and without conceding a goal.
Barbados will be playing against Guyana in the Play-Ins. The other two League C teams that qualified for the Play-Ins, Cayman Islands and St. Kitts and Nevis, will be trying their luck against Guadeloupe and Cuba, respectively.
Belize has won three of the six matches they’ve played against French Guiana, drawn one, and lost two.
