Convicted rapist Michael Bowen hit with nearly 20 years in prison

By Aaron Humes: Found guilty in August of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl, 28-year-old Michael Bowen will serve a further 19 years 11 months and 22 days in prison concurrently.

Bowen was tried for two counts of rape of a child and two counts of sexual assault by penetration and was found guilty on three of those four counts, 2 counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

He was sentenced to 20 years on each charge less eight days on remand and seven years on the sexual assault charge, less eight days on remand.

The incidents were reported to have happened on two dates in December 2021.
