By Horace Palacio: A construction worker identified as Marlon Ocampos, 26, was wounded in a chopping incident on Sea Shore Drive, Belize City after a workplace dispute escalated. According to police reports, officers responded to a call on Sea Shore Drive and found Ocampos, a Belizean construction worker, bleeding from a 5-inch cut on his left arm.
Ocampos informed Police that the injury resulted from an argument with a coworker at a nearby construction site, during which the other individual allegedly attacked him with a machete.
Despite the severity of the wound, Ocampos has opted not to pursue legal action. When questioned by police, he indicated he would not file an official report against the attacker and declined to provide further details about the incident.
Police issued Ocampos a medical form and escorted him to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for medical attention.
