By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Government of Belize, in partnership with the Statistical Institute of Belize, the CARICOM Secretariat, the United Nations Population Fund, the European Union, and the Commonwealth Secretariat, is hosting the 2024 round of the CARICOM Statistics Meetings.
The meetings commenced on Monday, November 4 with the “Fourth High-Level Advocacy Forum on Statistics.”
This session brings together government ministers responsible for statistics, policymakers, data users, heads of national statistical offices, and key stakeholders across CARICOM’s statistical community.
It enables the heads of the region’s national statistics offices to engage with ministers and policymakers, fostering a deeper understanding of statistics as a vital tool for planning.
The meetings continue all week and ends on Friday, November 8th.
