Belize City Triathlon to be held on Sunday, December 1

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize City Council, the National Sports Council, the Belize National Triathlon Association, and Kaya Cattouse are joining forces to hold the Belize City Triathlon on Sunday, December 1. The Belize City Council promises an action-packed experience.

The Belize City Triathlon comes on the heels of the rescheduled Lionman Triathlon, which will be held on Sunday, November 10.

The Belize City Triathlon, featuring $3,000 in cash and prizes, will start in front of Memorial Park on Marine Parade. Competitors will first engage in an 800-meter swim in the Caribbean Sea in front of Memorial Park. After transitioning for the 11.42-mile bicycle ride at Lord Rhaburn Plaza, they will head to the Philip Goldson Highway, make a U-turn at the last roundabout before the Haulover Bridge, return to Memorial Park, get off their bikes, and start the 3.1-mile run heading in the same direction they came from, up to the Bentley Building where they will make a U-turn and return to Memorial Park.
