Rising waters close key bridge at Rio On Pools in Mountain Pine Ridge

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The lower bridge near Rio On Pools in Mountain Pine Ridge has been rendered impassable today due to flooding.

A photo shared by a local reader of Breaking Belize News (BBN) shows several vans on the opposite side of the bridge, unable to cross due to rising waters.

Rio On Pools, a popular destination for picnics, family outings, and day trips, has been affected by the flooding, disrupting access to its scenic natural pools and waterfalls.

The flooding has caused a temporary closure of the bridge, which serves as the main entry point for visitors to the area.
