By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Iguana Creek Bridge, a vital connection for many travelers in the Spanish Lookout area in the Cayo District, has been temporarily closed due to severe flooding. An announcement was made earlier on Friday by Spanish Lookout business Westrac Ltd, urging commuters to seek alternative routes to ensure safety and continuity of travel.

The flooding has rendered the bridge on the road from Blackman Eddy to Spanish Lookout unsafe for passage, prompting immediate action. Travelers from the north are advised to use the Farmer’s Express Road, while those coming from the west should take the Santa Familla Road.

Despite the closure, Westrac and the other Spanish Lookout businesses and services continue to operate as usual. The community is urged to stay informed and follow the recommended alternative routes.

Stay safe!
