By Horace Palacio: Residents and visitors in Belize can look forward to a pleasant weekend with mild and mostly dry conditions prevailing across the country. Forecaster Crystal Rosalez reports that today will bring variable cloudy skies with little to no rain, which is perfect for outdoor activities.
Temperatures along the coast will be warm, reaching a high of 82°F (28°C) and dipping to a comfortable 71°F (22°C) in the evening. Inland areas will experience similar temperatures, with a high of 82°F (28°C) and a slightly cooler low of 66°F (19°C). Those venturing to the hills can expect milder temperatures, ranging from 70°F (21°C) to 61°F (16°C).
Sea conditions are expected to be moderate to choppy, with winds blowing from the north-northwest at 5-15 knots. Wave heights will range from 3 to 6 feet. Boaters and those planning water activities should take note of these conditions.
The good news continues with the tropical weather outlook. For the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Sunday, mainly fair conditions are expected with isolated showers, if any, throughout the day and night.
Whether you’re exploring ancient Maya sites, relaxing on the beach, or diving into the Belize Barrier Reef, the weather this weekend promises to be ideal for enjoying all that this beautiful country has to offer.
