Belize Weather: Fair skies with isolated coastal showers expected

By Horace Palacio: Belize is set for generally fair weather today, with sunny skies and occasional cloudy spells continuing into the night, which will see partly cloudy conditions. Isolated showers are possible, particularly along the coast after sunset.

Marine conditions are moderate, with northeast winds blowing at 5-15 knots and wave heights between 4-6 feet. These conditions should allow for relatively smooth operations for marine activities, though caution is advised for those heading offshore.

Daytime temperatures along the coast are expected to peak at 84°F (29°C), dropping to 75°F (24°C) at night. Inland areas will see highs of 85°F (29°C) and cooler nighttime lows of 68°F (20°C). The hill regions will remain the coolest, with daytime temperatures around 72°F (22°C) and dipping to 63°F (17°C) overnight.

The tropical weather outlook remains calm, with no cyclones anticipated in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours. This stable pattern is expected to persist into Thursday, with fair conditions and the possibility of isolated showers.

For coastal activities, high tides are expected at 7:53 AM and 7:19 PM, with low tides at 1:29 PM today and 2:36 AM tomorrow. The sun will rise at 6:04 AM and set at 5:16 PM, while the moon will set at 2:49 PM today and rise again at 3:48 AM tomorrow.

The forecast, issued by meteorologist Crystal Rosalez, indicates calm and predictable conditions, with only minimal chances of coastal showers adding a touch of variability to the day.
