By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Pallotti High School (PHS) is hosting its highly anticipated Business Expo 2024 on Friday, November 29, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. and running until 2:00 p.m. at the PHS Grounds, promising a day filled with innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The Business Expo is an annual event that provides students with the opportunity to present their business ideas and products to the community. This year’s expo will feature a diverse range of student-led businesses, including 5K Collection, Aroma Essentials, Zesty Zazeel’s Bling, Glossy Girlz Aesthetics, and more.

“The objective of today’s Business Expo is for students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills. We want the business students to be mini entrepreneurs,” Ke’Aun Williams, Principles of Business teacher, told Breaking Belize News.

“Some of the products are homemade key chains, home lip gloss, perfumes, and many more. The students worked hard. Everything is done from scratch. Everything they made by themselves.”

“For the past three years, we had students who focused on making food. So, today we’re focusing on students making their products from scratch.”

The theme for this year’s expo is ‘The Path from Conceptualization to Innovation: Preparing for the Future Success of Business’. This theme underscores the importance of nurturing young talent and equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the business world.

“After they have learned the theory, they put it into practice and show that they have entrepreneurial skills. So, when they leave school, if they decide not to further their studies, they can actually open their own business,” Michelle Bernard, PHS Head of the Business Department, said.

Attendees can expect to see a variety of innovative products and services, ranging from fashion and beauty to wellness and lifestyle. The expo will also provide a platform for students to network with local businesses, gain valuable feedback, and potentially secure investment for their ventures.

Pallotti High School’s Business Expo 2024 is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit and a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering the next generation of business leaders.
