By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can expect a mix of sun and showers today as a few passing clouds bring the possibility of light rain, primarily to central and southern areas. Despite the increased cloud cover, temperatures will remain warm, reaching highs of 84°F (29°C) along the coast and 86°F (30°C) inland. Those in the hills can expect slightly cooler temperatures, with a high of 74°F (23°C).
While the rain may dampen some outdoor plans, the seas will be moderate, with waves reaching 4-6 feet, making conditions suitable for boating and other marine activities. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the north-northeast at 10-20 knots.
Looking ahead, Monday and Monday night are expected to bring mostly fair conditions with only isolated showers. The National Meteorological Service of Belize has also given the all-clear for tropical cyclone formation in the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico over the next 48 hours.
So, whether you’re planning a day at the beach or exploring inland, be sure to pack an umbrella or raincoat, just in case!
