By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a fire that destroyed two houses in the Orange Walk District on Monday morning.
Police responded to a report of a fire in San Jose Village on Monday, December 2, at around 11:30 a.m. 64-year-old Concepcion Rosa, a Belizean business owner, reported that while attending to a customer inside her shop, she noticed smoke coming from the back of her home.
Upon checking, she discovered her home engulfed in flames. The fire then spread to another wooden building in the yard belonging to 90-year-old Fabiano Rodriguez, a Belizean laborer from San Jose Village.
Investigations continue into the cause of the fire and no details have been given of how much was lost.
