Belize Police Department welcomes Squad 98 for training

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On December 1, 2024, the Belize Police Department welcomed Squad 98 to the National Police Training Academy.

The Belize Police Department noted that a total of 216 recruits—161 males and 55 females—crossed the Academy gates to begin their 28-week journey from civilians to law enforcement officers.

The first day focused on orientation, discipline, and familiarizing recruits with Academy life.

The trainees will engage in intensive training to prepare them for the critical role they will play in serving our communities and country.

“Best of luck to all recruits in this exciting new chapter,” the BPD said.
