Pleasant day ahead for Belize with isolated showers possible

By Horace Palacio: Residents and visitors in Belize can expect a mostly pleasant day with mainly fair weather conditions. However, small craft operators are advised to exercise caution due to occasionally gusty northeasterly winds and moderate to rough seas.

The general forecast indicates isolated showers or light rain possible over the south. Temperatures will be warm, with coastal areas experiencing highs of 85°F (29°C) and lows of 74°F (23°C). Inland areas can expect highs of 86°F (30°C) and lows of 65°F (18°C).

Winds are predicted to be from the northeast at 10-20 knots, with gusts making seas choppy with waves reaching 5-7 feet. This has led to a small craft caution being issued.

The outlook for Thursday and Thursday night is for continued fair weather with minimal rainfall expected.

Today’s tides will see a low at 6:30 AM, followed by a high at 12:48 PM. Another low tide will occur at 5:22 PM, with a final high tide at 11:35 PM.

The sun rose this morning at 6:09 AM and will set at 5:17 PM. The moon will rise at 9:15 AM and set at 8:29 PM.
