By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Central Farm Administration building just after noon on Wednesday.
According to reports, employees were in the kitchen area when 2 armed men approached them.
The men were reportedly wearing a fluorescent green traffic vest, and a black helmet.
The thieves took out a 9mm gun and proceeded to rob them.
At gunpoint, the thieves opened the safe revealing cash stored for the Belize Post Office and the Ministry of Agriculture.
They stole $155 belonging to the post office, $16,046.60 from cattle sales for the Ministry of Agriculture, and 3 cell phones.
Investigations continue.
