By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: This week, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology launched USpace, a new initiative focused on learning through hands-on coaching.
The Houses of Culture in Corozal and Orange Walk have been upgraded with technology to help communities build digital skills and foster innovation through culture.
Visitors can access premium features, including computers, internet, coding and robotics training, competitions, Access501 to explore Belize’s heritage, and the People’s Archive Project to digitize culture in real-time.
This initiative was done through a partnership with the Ministry, NICH, UNICEF, and the Belize National Library Service.
The expansion of USpace will include turning all five remaining Houses of Culture nationwide and continuously adding new and engaging features.
