By Aaron Humes: Ladyville, Belize District resident 23-year-old Camryn Lozano, of Marage Road, is in debt to the court for $565 after he pleaded guilty to three traffic offenses and was denied the right to drive for the next year, being barred from obtaining a driver’s license in that period.
Lozano was read three offenses of driving a motor vehicle without third-party risk insurance; using an unlicensed motor vehicle, and driving a motor vehicle while not holding a valid Belize Driver’s License.
Allegations are that on November 18 he drove a black Lifan Motorcycle with license plate unknown when it was not licensed; did not have a relevant license to use the motorcycle and that he was not the holder of a Belize Driver’s License when he was caught driving.
Lozano pleaded guilty and must pay his fines and Court costs by January 31, 2025, in default a total of four months in prison.
However, the sitting Senior Magistrate explained to Lozano that he was disqualified from obtaining a license, effective Friday, for one year.
Notably, Lozano was previously charged with murder in 2020 but was acquitted in a High Court trial this year.
