Sunny skies with isolated showers expected today in Belize

By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service of Belize reports that generally fair weather conditions will prevail today. Expect sunny skies with occasional cloudy spells during the day, transitioning to partly cloudy to cloudy conditions tonight. Isolated showers and areas of light rain are possible, with a higher chance of rainfall over southern areas during the night.

Marine conditions are forecasted to be moderate to rough. Northeasterly winds will blow at 10-20 knots, occasionally gusty, creating wave heights between 5-7 feet. Small craft operators are advised to exercise caution due to locally rough seas and gusty winds caused by northeasterly to easterly swells.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 83°F (28°C) along the coast, with lows of 73°F (23°C). Inland temperatures will reach highs of 85°F (29°C) and dip to 66°F (19°C), while in the hills, highs will be 71°F (21°C), with lows of 62°F (17°C).

Looking ahead, Monday and Monday night will bring cloudy intervals with isolated showers or light rain, particularly in southern areas. The tide schedule for today includes a low tide at 9:51 AM, a high tide at 4:07 PM, another low tide at 10:09 PM, and a high tide at 4:05 AM tomorrow. Sunrise occurred at 6:11 AM, and sunset is expected at 5:18 PM. The moon will rise at 12:08 PM today and set at 12:20 AM on Monday.
