Teacher injured in traffic accident asks for support for surgery

By Aaron Humes: The victim of a road traffic accident on November 27 is making a public appeal for assistance to meet costs for surgery and recovery.

According to Xiomara Molina, a teacher, while the accident was not her fault, “…the financial and emotional burden has fallen entirely on me and my family. Unfortunately, the other party’s insurance had expired, leaving us to face this overwhelming situation alone.”

She continues, “I have already undergone one major surgery, but the injuries to my face and eye require another, one that is critical for my recovery. The cost of this surgery, along with ongoing medical care, has placed a tremendous strain on my family’s resources.”

Molina hopes that the community will support her healing and return to teaching – “what I love most.”
