By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 27-year-old domestic worker from Hattieville Village was arraigned late Wednesday in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court for allegedly harming his sister.
William Alexander Jones appeared before a Magistrate in Court #5, where he was charged with one count of harm against his sister. The charge stems from an incident on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in which Jones is accused of intentionally and unlawfully causing harm to her.
Jones pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of $600 plus one surety, which he met. As part of his bail conditions, Jones was ordered not to contact or interfere with his sister and to stay at least 100 yards away from her.
Before the arraignment concluded, Jones informed the court that he had filed a counter-complaint against his sister, alleging that she frequently interferes with him whenever they cross paths. However, no charges have yet been brought against her.
Jones’ next court appearance is scheduled for February 18, 2025.
