By Horace Palacio: Belize’s weather is transitioning to less moist conditions today with mostly sunny skies and a few cloudy intervals. According to the Belize Meteorological Service, shower activity will be isolated, with a slight chance of a few more showers along central and southern coastal areas this afternoon, shifting primarily to southern regions tonight.
Marine conditions remain moderate, with northeast winds blowing at 10-15 knots and wave heights of 4 to 6 feet. Mariners are advised to exercise caution, particularly in exposed areas, due to locally moderate seas.
Temperatures today will be comfortable across the country. Coastal regions are forecast to reach highs of 79°F (26°C) during the day and lows of 73°F (23°C) overnight. Inland areas will peak at 81°F (27°C) and cool to 68°F (20°C) at night, while the hilly regions will see daytime highs of 68°F (20°C) and lows of 61°F (16°C).
The outlook for Friday and Friday night indicates mainly fair weather with isolated showers, signaling a continued improvement in conditions as moisture levels decrease further.
