San Ignacio Police seek public’s help in identifying theft suspect

Horace Palacio: San Ignacio police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman caught on camera allegedly stealing a bag containing passports and other valuables. The theft occurred in downtown San Ignacio around 5:30 a.m. this morning.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect taking the bag. The victim has posted the video on social media, pleading for help in recovering the stolen items, which are critical for travel and identification.

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the video or has any information about this incident is urged to contact the San Ignacio police immediately.
