Boom to the City Canoe Race set for Saturday, February 16

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The 2025 Boom to the City Canoe Race, powered by GUINNESS, is set to be the biggest canoe race before the annual La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge. This race provides the last opportunity for teams to test their equipment and gauge their performance against competitors before the biggest sporting event of the year.

Scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2024, the race will start at Paradise Landing in Burrell Boom at 10:00 am and finish around 12:30 PM at the Riverside Tavern in Belize City. This members-only event requires non-members to pay a $50.00 membership fee to participate. The registration fee is $100.00 per team, with registration starting at 9:00 am.

The race will cater to all nine categories: Men, Women, Mixed, Masters, Junior, Family, C2, Pleasure, and Intramural. All paddlers will receive a meal and drink at the end of the race.
