Belize NDC 3.0: Target and Action Validation for March 2025 Submission

The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Climate Change, through the National Climate Change Office (NCCO), in collaboration with Climate Analytics (CA), is developing Belize’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) 3.0, which is scheduled for submission in March 2025. Following the completion of the NDC enhancement process, the NCCO and CA are hosting an NDC Target and Action Validation event on February 21, 2025, at Bedran Hall, San Ignacio Hotel, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event aims to achieve several key objectives:

Review and finalize sectoral inputs by presenting results from the modeling exercise and addressing any pending issues from bilateral discussions.
Confirm the final set of actions and targets to be included in NDC 3.0.
Discuss the initial steps for implementation, ensuring a clear roadmap for achieving Belize’s climate commitments.
