UB Black Jaguars kick off football recruiting session in Punta Gorda

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Association of Tertiary Level Institutions of Belize (ATLIB) Champions, the UB Black Jaguars, are holding open tryouts for aspiring footballers in Punta Gorda. The University of Belize is seeking talent to join their 2025 Varsity Football Team as well as the incoming class for August 2025, with scholarships available.

The recruiting session will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Victor Sanchez Stadium. Women footballers are invited to showcase their skills at 4:00 pm, followed by the men footballers’ session at 5:00 pm.

This event is not limited to current UB students. The Defending ATLIB National Champions are welcoming anyone with the passion and potential to represent the UB Black Jaguars. Prospective players will have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and make a case for joining the university’s team.

The football program is highly regarded, and the coaches are eager to identify and nurture the next generation of talent. If you believe you have what it takes to become a part of this championship-winning team, come out and give it your all.
