Belize Youth Movement congratulates Brittney Galvez on appointment as Belize’s youngest senator

By Zoila Palma: The Belize Youth Movement (BYM) has extended congratulations to Brittney Galvez on her appointment as one of Belize’s youngest female senators.

“Galvez’s appointment is a significant milestone not only for her personally but also for the youth of Belize, marking an important step toward ensuring young voices are heard and represented in the governance of our nation,” the BYM said.

“Brittney Galvez has been a dedicated and active member of the People’s United Party’s (PUP) Belize Youth Movement (BYM) and the United Women’s Group (UWG). Her appointment to the Senate is a clear indication that youth are ready and capable of taking up spaces in governance and making meaningful contributions to the country’s future,” the BYM added.

The Belize Youth Movement says that it believes that youth must be at the forefront of shaping the policies and decisions that will determine the future of Belize.

“It is a clear signal that the next generation of leaders is ready to take charge, bring fresh perspectives, and drive positive change.

The Belize Youth Movement stands with Brittney Galvez in this historic moment and looks forward to her contributions in governance,” the BYM stated.

The BYM also encourage all political parties to continue fostering youth engagement and creating pathways for young people to actively participate in shaping the future of Belize.
