By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can expect a mix of sun, clouds, and a few brief showers today as a somewhat moist easterly airflow continues to influence the weather across the country. According to the National Meteorological Service, isolated showers will develop this morning, primarily over coastal and northern areas, before shifting to central and southern regions this afternoon and evening.
Daytime temperatures will soar, especially inland, with highs reaching 94°F (34°C). Coastal areas remain slightly cooler at 85°F (29°C), while hilltop regions enjoy a more temperate 80°F (27°C).
At sea, winds from the east blow between 10 to 20 knots, and the sea state is choppy to moderate, producing waves between 3 to 6 feet. Small craft operators are advised to exercise caution, especially in exposed areas.
Looking ahead, Monday will begin under fair conditions, but showers are expected to return by Monday night, particularly along central and southern coastal areas.
