Independence High School defends home turf, wins Bandfest 2025

By Aaron Humes: Today’s battle of the bands in Independence Village, Stann Creek District, went to the home team.

Independence High School, runners-up last year, defeated San Pedro High School marching band for top honors at Bandfest 2025, with Belize Police Uprising Drum Corps taking third.

Bandfest is held under the patronage of former Governor General Sir Colville Young, celebrating band music and discipline.
