Woman stabbed during altercation at Digi Park

By Aaron Humes: A 24-year-old woman from Belize City is currently recovering in the hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds during an altercation early Friday morning at Digi Park on Newtown Barracks.

Police apprehended her alleged attacker, 26-year-old Erin “Erynne” Belezaire, described as a social media influencer, who has been charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.

The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m., after which Chelsey Lewis was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), where she remains in a serious but stable condition, receiving treatment for her injuries.

Lewis and four of her female friends had been socializing at the popular Thursday Thirsty Nightclub prior to the disturbance. After they left the club, the group walked into Digi Park, where they were confronted by two other women, including Belezaire.

An argument escalated to a physical confrontation between the two groups. Belezaire allegedly produced a knife and stabbed Lewis multiple times in the face and body before fleeing the scene.
