14th Weekend Warriors Cross Country Cycling Classic brings ‘Cross Country’ season to a close

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Weekend Warriors Cycling Club will be holding their 14th Cross Country Classic on Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Participants across three categories (A, B, and C) will race on a 63-mile route starting at the Spanish Lookout Roundabout on Blackman Eddy on the George Price Highway, traversing John Smith Road and Philip Goldson Highway, and finishing at San Cas Plaza in Belize City. The event not only challenges riders’ physical endurance and strategic savvy but also offers prizes amounting to over $5,500 in cash and trophies.

To ensure fair play and safety, strict road rules and general racing regulations will be enforced, including mandatory helmets, a yellow line rule, and designated service zones spanning 50 miles between the Belmopan Roundabout and Haulover Bridge.

To celebrate the champions, the post-race prize presentation will be held at the San Cas Plaza.
