Cash and other valuables stolen from 76-year-old businessman in Ladyville

By Aaron Humes: A local business owner reported a significant theft that occurred late Sunday night, April 20. 

The 76-year-old Belizean resident reported that at approximately 11:45 p.m., he discovered that his silver money clip, which contained US$640 in various denominations, had been stolen. The money clip also held several important identification cards belonging to him.

He reported that the items were taken from inside his black Swiss Army brand knapsack, which he had left on the back seat of his white SUV. 

Ladyville Police are actively investigating the matter and have encouraged anyone with information to come forward. As the investigation continues, residents are urged to take extra precautions with their belongings to prevent similar incidents.
