By Horace Palacio: Fair and mostly dry weather will once again dominate Belize’s skies today, with forecasters calling for abundant sunshine interrupted only by a few cloudy spells.
The National Meteorological Service reports that isolated showers may pop up in some areas, but overall, rainfall will be minimal and fleeting. Tonight’s weather is expected to remain mostly calm, with partly cloudy skies across the country.
Winds from the east will blow at 5 to 15 knots, generating a choppy sea state with wave heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet. Mariners are advised to remain cautious, especially during gustier periods.
Inland temperatures will soar, with highs reaching 93°F, while the coast will remain slightly cooler at 87°F. The hilly regions will offer a bit of a reprieve from the heat, with temperatures hovering around 80°F.
Looking ahead, similar dry and warm weather is forecasted for Wednesday and Wednesday night, with no significant changes expected.
