Armed horse thieves strike in Agua Viva—Beloved animals missing

By Horace Palacio: Two horses were stolen from a private property in Agua Viva overnight, prompting the owner to issue a public plea for help and offer a cash reward for their return.

According to a widely circulated social media post, three Hispanic men are believed to be responsible for the theft. Alarmingly, one of the suspects was reportedly armed. The owner, Abner Murillo, is offering $500 for any information that leads to the recovery of the horses and $1,000 for information that results in both the horses’ return and the identification or capture of those responsible.

“These are not just animals—they’re part of our family,” Murillo wrote, adding that one of the horses holds sentimental value as it is his daughter’s favorite.

Anyone with tips is urged to call 669-7785 to report sightings or leads. The community is being asked to stay alert, especially in rural or open areas where stolen horses may be hidden or moved.
