Belize District FA 1st Division: Sunday matches set to shake up standings

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize District Football Association (BDFA) 2024-2025 1st Division Closing Championship will feature three key matchups on Sunday, May 11, at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.

Old Road Defenders take on Hattieville United in the first game at 2:00 pm, followed by Caesar Ridge facing off against defending champions Survivors at 4:00 pm. The final game of the day will see Reggae Boyz go up against leaders Tut Bay at 6:00 pm.

Tut Bay, currently sitting at the top of the standings with 10 points, will look to extend their lead as they face a strong challenge from Kelly Street Bombers with 9 points, and Reggae Boyz, who are tied at 7 points with Caesar Ridge.

Caesar Ridge will aim to secure a crucial victory against defending champions, Survivors, who currently hold four points and are determined to climb higher in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Old Road Defenders, with only 2 points, will seek their first win of the tournament against Hattieville United, who remain at the bottom of the standings without a point.

With teams vying for vital points, this weekend’s matches promise intense competition. Fans are invited to the Marion Jones Sports Complex to witness the action, with an entrance fee of $5.
