Ministry completes School Garden evaluations in Southern Belize

By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise extends appreciation to the dedicated teachers, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents who have contributed to making this competition a true success.

The Ministry has concluded the final evaluation for schools in the Stann Creek District participating in the NATS School Garden Competition.

The primary schools involved were Our Lady of the Valley Primary School and Silk Grass Sandy Creek Academy, while ANRI and George Town Technical High School represented the high school category.

The evaluation team was genuinely inspired by the love and passion students demonstrated for their gardens.

From meticulously labeling plants to creatively designing their garden spaces, the students’ dedication was unmistakable.

“Their efforts reflect not only their creativity but also a strong grasp of regenerative agricultural practices an encouraging sign that these vital lessons are taking root from the primary and secondary level,” the Ministry said.
