By Horace Palacio: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a forecast indicating generally fair weather conditions across the country today.
Expect mostly sunny skies with only a few cloudy spells throughout the day. Tonight, the weather will remain clear to partly cloudy with only isolated showers expected. This pattern of fair conditions is projected to continue through Wednesday and Wednesday night.
Marine conditions are stable with light easterly to southeasterly winds at 5 to 10 knots. The sea state is expected to range from light chop to choppy, with waves between 2 to 5 feet.
Temperatures will be warm, with inland highs reaching 93°F (34°C), coastal areas around 87°F (31°C), and the hills peaking at 79°F (26°C). Overnight lows will dip to 72°F (22°C) inland, 77°F (25°C) along the coast, and 66°F (19°C) in hilly areas.
Tidal information indicates a high tide at 9:42 AM, a low tide at 5:15 PM, and another high at 11:24 PM. Tomorrow’s first low tide will occur at 4:17 AM. The sun rises at 5:21 AM and sets at 6:16 PM, while the moon will set at 5:46 AM and rise again at 7:24 PM.
Forecaster Tareek Matthews assures that fair weather will dominate with minimal chances for rain.
