Press Release
Through a joint partnership, the Ministry of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries, supported by the Ministry of E-Governance, proudly launched the new Online Criminal Records Registry (CRR) system.
In his remarks, Honourable Kareem Musa highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Government of Belize’s broader efforts to modernize its justice system and improve access to public services through Digital Transformation.
The digital Criminal Records Registry will provide for online applications, online payments, and online delivery of Police Records of Conduct to the public. The public will also now enjoy real-time notifications via SMS or email, ensuring transparency and accountability for users. The CRR is intended to simplify the process of obtaining police records by reducing wait times and eradicating the necessity for in-person visits.
While applications can be submitted and received completely online, access to applying for and picking up an electronic Police Record of Conduct is also available in person, with assistance provided at the following Police Stations:
The cost of the service remains unchanged, and the public can access online applications at www.crr.gov.bz.
To ensure the effective implementation of the CRR, a comprehensive training session was conducted on February 14, 2025, by the Ministry of E-Governance at the National Police Training Academy in Belmopan. Sixteen officers from the Belize Police Department participated in the training, gaining hands-on experience with the new system.
