By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize District Football Association (BDFA) 1st Division Closing Championship heads into its final regular season matchday this Sunday, May 18, 2025, with three crucial encounters at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. These fixtures will determine the final standings before the playoffs, with one last pending match scheduled for next Wednesday.
Kelly Street Bombers vs. Reggae Boyz (2:00 pm)
Third-place Kelly Street Bombers (9 points) face fourth-place Reggae Boyz (7 points) in a battle for positioning. Kelly Street will look to rebound after recent setbacks, while Reggae Boyz aim to recover from their tough defeat against league leaders Tut Bay.
Tut Bay vs. Old Road Defenders (4:00 pm)
Table-toppers Tut Bay (13 points) take on Old Road Defenders (5 points). After their dominant 5-1 victory over Reggae Boyz last week, Tut Bay seek to finish the regular season strong, but Old Road Defenders are eager to climb the standings with an upset win.
Hattieville United vs. Caesar Ridge FC (6:00 pm)
Bottom-placed Hattieville United (0 points) take on second-place Caesar Ridge FC (10 points), who are coming off an emphatic victory against Survivors. With the playoffs ahead, Caesar Ridge will look to close the gap on Tut Bay and secure a strong finish.
One final regular-season match remains: Caesar Ridge FC vs. Reggae Boyz FC, initially set for Wednesday, May 14, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 21. This last fixture will wrap up the standings before the playoffs begin.
