Belize braces for another blistering day—No rain in sight

Inland temperatures are expected to peak at a blistering 97 degrees Fahrenheit, with no rainfall forecasted and fair, dry conditions continuing to dominate the atmosphere.

Winds from the east will blow steadily throughout the day, keeping marine conditions moderate but doing little to cool inland communities. Coastal areas will feel slightly less intense heat at around 90 degrees, while hilly regions are expected to reach 85 degrees. Tonight offers only minimal relief, with temperatures remaining warm and skies partly cloudy.

The heat alert urges residents to stay hydrated, avoid extended periods of sun exposure, and limit outdoor activity during the peak heat hours of the afternoon. Officials warn that prolonged heat can pose health risks, especially to the elderly, children, and those with medical conditions.

Forecasters say the dry spell will persist into Tuesday, with more of the same expected. There is no indication of significant rainfall in the short-term outlook, making it clear that this early dry-season heatwave is not letting up any time soon.
