By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The energy was high and the focus razor-sharp as the Belize Men’s National Team hit the sand for an intense morning workout at the beach soccer pitch at the Football Federation of Belize grounds in Belmopan on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. With the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Montserrat and Panama looming in June, the Jaguars are honing their preparations, ensuring every touch, every movement, and every decision on the field is executed with precision.
“The Jaguars are locked in and focused! Here’s your chance!” the FFB said on Tuesday in a social media post.
“You don’t have to wait until June to see them in action… Join us this Thursday for an international friendly as we take on Deportivo Aragon Club. Come out, show your support, and feel the roar of the Jaguars!”
The players’ commitment appears evident in their intense training sessions, as captured in the images showing them pushing through rigorous drills under the blazing sun. Their goal? To rise to the challenge and make Belize proud on the international stage, particularly after the Costa Rica debacle in the Concacaf Gold Cup Preliminary Round qualifiers earlier this year. But if Costa Rica proved to be ruthlessly fierce, Panama will be an even tougher cat to skin.
The BMNT has been training under the guidance of a Mexico-based group of trainers led by Uruguayan Daniel Bartolotta.
