By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize continues to feel the burn as inland temperatures are forecasted to reach a blistering 101°F today, the hottest day of the season so far. The National Meteorological Service has once again issued a heat alert, urging residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity, and remain indoors during peak afternoon hours.
Forecasters say skies will be mostly sunny today and clear to partly cloudy tonight, with little to no chance of rainfall. The dry spell that has gripped the country shows no signs of breaking.
Winds from the east will blow at 10 to 20 knots, creating moderate sea conditions with waves ranging from four to six feet. Coastal areas can expect slightly cooler temperatures, reaching highs of 91°F, while hilly regions will top out around 85°F.
With the forecast showing no immediate relief, Wednesday is expected to bring similar weather, keeping the country locked in this intense heat cycle.
Officials are again warning vulnerable groups—especially the elderly, children, and those with underlying health issues—to take extra precautions as daytime temperatures soar.
