2 more football coaching courses coming in June as FFB expands coaching education

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) continues its commitment to strengthening football coaching in the country, with two upcoming coaching courses in June as part of its series of six diploma courses scheduled for 2025. The pair of June sessions follow the successful D Diploma Coaching Workshop held in April. After that, three more will be held in July to complete the half dozen training programs.

The initiative aims to provide structured training and official certification for both new and experienced coaches, ensuring they gain the necessary expertise to guide players effectively on and off the field.

April Workshop Sets the Stage

The first D Diploma Coaching Workshop, held from April 22 to 25, saw 15 coaches from across Belize complete their initial training in coaching fundamentals, player development strategies, and methods for fostering discipline and teamwork. With a combination of classroom instruction and practical sessions, the program laid the groundwork for advancing coaching standards in the country.

Upcoming Coaching Courses

The FFB has confirmed five more diploma courses scheduled for June and July, catering to both new participants and those seeking advanced certification.

– C Diploma (Women’s Only) – June 16-20

– C Diploma – June 30 – July 4

– B Diploma – July 7-11

– D Diploma 2 – July 14-17

– A Diploma – July 25-29

These workshops will be held at the FFB Headquarters in Belmopan, where instructors will deliver sessions on coaching techniques, fitness planning, and team management.

Elevating Coaching Standards

FFB’s coaching workshops aim to build a stronger coaching infrastructure, ensuring that local coaches receive professional training to support player development across all levels.

Participants will be trained by certified instructors, gaining hands-on experience while earning official FFB Coaching Licenses that boost their credentials within the sport. The initiative aligns with FFB’s broader effort to professionalize football education, providing structured certification pathways for coaching growth.
